How important is spirituality in your life?
I am a true Bhaktha of Krishna. Shanthidurga is my favorite goddess. This happened to me long time before when I was small. I visited a Krishna temple. Nearby there was a siva temple also.
When I saw the gracious valuable decoration in Krishna temple , I was wondering how they worship so gracefully.
I heard many stories about this Krishna. His childhood plays, youth and Kings life.
Yogamaya was his friend from vishnu avatharam itself. This goddess is worshiped as Shanthidurga. After Sathya narayana pooja , this goddess is also prayed.
We get our wishes done, when we ask for to these gods. So it becomes a practice to go to krishna temple on Thursdays and devi temple on Fridays.
I pluck flowers and put to these gods at home .

Various Gods also have their own flowers. We can pick and choose from them.
Laddu, Modak, Kesari, Butter are favorite of Vishnu,Ganesha, Hanuman, Krishna.
Banana, Mango, Apples , Grapes like fruits are also offered to Gods before eating.
We can take vratha which is like whole day penance from eating certain food like rice and grains. Instead we can eat only fruits. This is because , we will be blessed with good heath. So Ekadashi Tithi is mostly done.
This day comes twice in a month. Eleventh day after new moon is Krishna Ekadasi.
Eleventh day after full moon is for Devi.
We chant Hare Krishna mahamanthra for Krishna ekadasi.
We chant Lalitha sahasranamam for Devi Ekadashi.
Every Friday we can chant Lalitha sahasranamam.
Similarly every day despite of any restrictions Krishna should be meditated.
I find it useful for my physical health, Mental health and family, social health.
Bhakthi is backbone for Hindu mythology.
We are children of our historical forefathers like yuga purusha Shree Krishna.
Then it becomes our duty to worship Shree Krishna.
I make butter milk, rice snacks, jaggery snacks on AshtamiRohini , Krishna’s birthday.
On Ganesha chathurthi we make modakam.
A story of AshtamiRohini is like this.
————–
Actually Krishna lives in Goloka Vrindavanam. One day Kamsa was adorned to be killed by his 8th nephew. Soon he imprisoned his sister who gave birth to Krishna in karagriham. But the Yoga maya signed kamsa with her voice and Krishna was taken to Yashodas lap. There he loved eating Butter milk, rice snacks and jaggery. His gurukulam , he ate avil also in a heavy rain from his friend, send by gurupathni. So this Avil is also offered to Krishna on his birthday to memorize him this days.
Ganapathy one forth day , fullmoon night , ate so many mothakas from his mother, while tying his stomach with a snake from his fathers neck, because his mothakam were comming bursting his small stomach. This little Ganapathy mischievously wanted to stop mothakam comming out. So was tying it. Outside of mothakam is rice, inside it is jaggery with coconut. Meaning sweet and tenderness together. Thinking all this was Ganapathy , and moon laughed. This is why on Fullmoon Chathurthi Ganapathy’s birthday is celebrated.
My spirituality is celebrating all this festivals. Observing penance on GOD days.
Chanting prayers.
