🕉️ Who Gave Birth to Lord Shiva? 🕉️
Among the Trimurtis (the three principal deities in Hinduism), Lord Shiva is considered the deity of destruction. According to Hindu tradition, Brahma is the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer.
To please Shiva, Hindu devotees observe numerous rituals and practices. He is believed to be both easily pleased and easily angered—a deity of quick grace and quick wrath. He is often described as wearing tiger skins and elephant hides, and adorned with black serpents around his neck.
It is also believed that Shiva has a third eye on his forehead, and when it opens, everything in front of him turns to ashes.

🕉️ The Story Behind Shiva’s Origin 🕉️
There exists a fascinating story in Hindu mythology regarding the birth (or appearance) of Lord Shiva.
Once, a dispute arose between Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu. The argument centered on who among them was the most powerful and majestic. While the debate intensified, a blazing pillar of fire suddenly appeared between them.
This pillar had no beginning or end—its top pierced the skies, and its base delved deep into the underworld. Stunned by its infinite nature, Brahma and Vishnu decided to investigate it.
To settle their debate, they agreed: whoever could find either the top or the bottom of this pillar would be declared the greatest.
Brahma took the form of a boar and dug downward in search of the base.
Vishnu transformed into a swan and soared upward in search of the summit.
They searched for eons but neither could find the ends of this blazing pillar. Defeated, they returned to their original forms. It was then that a divine being emerged from the pillar of light—none other than Lord Shiva.
In that moment, both Brahma and Vishnu realized there existed a force far beyond their comprehension—a supreme power that transcended their own. This force pervaded the entire universe.
Thus, according to Hindu belief:
> Lord Shiva was not born, nor can he die.
He is eternal, without beginning or end.

🕉️ The Nature of Lord Shiva 🕉️
The ways and nature of Shiva are beyond human understanding. He is the source of all powers, and prefers to dwell in cremation grounds, detached from worldly pleasures.
Wearing skulls and animal hides, Shiva is also known as “Digambara”, meaning “clothed by the directions”—one who is beyond material clothing.
Dancing with the five elements of nature, Shiva performs the cosmic dance of creation and destruction—the Tandava—and is thus revered as “Nataraja”, the Lord of Dance.
It is believed that in the icy peaks of the Himalayas, Shiva resides in deep meditation and remains ever visible to his devotees who seek him with true devotion.
