During the reign of Swayambhoova manu, Daksha prajapathi and prasoothi got 16 girls. Of which 1 swadha was marrid to pithru devatha, another to agni. Remaining 14 were marid to rudras. Of which moorthi marrid to first rudra and got two sons, one nara , one narayana .

These sons went to bhadrigashrama and did thapas for long period. Dakshas friend indra envious of them sent many apsaras to block the thapas.

Devoid of distraction the brothers continued thapas for a long time. In the end when indra himself came, you gave all apsaras back to indra with a smile. You gave the top most beauty urvashi to indra. Indra got his happiness back.

The time being dhaksha became greedy to bhrama and your amsha rudra and started a yagnya to debar parvathy and rudra. However you managed to make his dead body killed by rudra alive and finish yagya.

Oh this omnipotent God Narayana you gave head to daksha who lost his head, i pray to you that you remove my illness and give my health back.
