THERE ARE 8 VASUS.. 
Of 8 vasus
Ganga kills 7 ,santhanu is her husband.
Devavratha 8th son,his guru parashurama is bheeshma..he is saved by Santhanu.

Sathyavathy(fathar dasaraja) marris santhanu
Chthrangatha and vichithravirya are children
Chithrangatha lacks dharma
Vichithravirya lacks warfare
Santhanu dies in saddness
Chithrangatha dies in war with a person in same name.
Vichithraveerya endulged in pleasures …
Hathinapura requires new king…
Bheeshma brings amba ambika ambalika from kasi.

Ambika and ambalika marris vichithraveerya
Amba goes to salva with love is rejected…both by salva and Bheeshma. Parasurama refugee her.

Parashurama and bheeshma fight 21 days .

Catastropic destruction…difficulty and the help of the vasus.. Bheeshma wins mommentorily.

Parashuram gives boon to Bheeshma that nobody in the world could defeat him provided he should have a weapon.

Declined health weakened body..

Here bheeshma returned victorious.

Vichithraveerya died from tuberculosis.

Kindom posses danger from neibohrs.

Animals mating cause lust in him…
Kalindhi river, fish swallowed his bheeja and conceived a boy and girl in her womb .

Dasaraja kept the boy for him and gave girl to fisherman..named kali…mathsyagandhi…

Parashara muni reaches banks of Yamuna river… matsyagantha operated a boat…
He got attracted to her…
She is a virgin…
He meditates…

Each Mahayuga has a Veda Vyasa

Parashara maharshi is born on 26th Mahayuga of 7th Manvanthara is Vedavyasa of 26th Mahayuga

VEDAVYASA is not just a person, but is a person to fullfill a great responsibility.


1st yuga Sathyayuga 1728000 years 4legs for Dharma – man has control over senses, death at will.
2nd yuga Threthayuga 1296000 years 3legs for Dharma – man has selfish thoughts, focus more on them selves, judge virtues and faults of others, death at will is lost. Life expectancy…10,000 years.
3rd yuga Dwaparayuga 864000 years 2legs for Dharma – forsake dharma, engage in adharma, pleasures negative emotions desires anger attachment greed moral decline. 1000 years.
4th yoga Kaliyuga 432000 human years 1leg for dharma adharma strives on 3… anger dishonesty selfishness limited intelect, self centered age , rather than seeking knowledge about divinity and dharma. Sensual pleasures, transient. Purpose of life. Untolerable success of others. Individuals use intellect to support selfish and envious thought. Commit actions accordingly…donot yield results within their current lifetime leading to a lifespan( oldage death) and rebirth to experience the consequence of their dharma.  Continue to take rebirth repeatedly to face the outcomes of their previous lifes…without attaining moksha(salvation)

The souls of this perpetuated humens is trapped in the cycle of life and death. To liberate the souls from life and death, and guide them towards moksha, by uniting them with paramathma lord vishnu incarnates as vyasa at the end of every dwaparayuga.

Vyasa takes the profound task of dividing the vedas which is complexly created by the lord bhrama beyond the understanding of ordinary humans.simplifying them so that  they become comprehensible by every one who reads them.

This noble work of making the vedas accessible to all is the mission of Veda vyasa.
For the birth of such a soul, a sage of immence penance and virtue is essential. Its equally important is a woman who could withstand his radiance.

This Mahabharata story is narrated to Ganesha by Veda vyasa.

Within this narrative sathyavathi vyasas mother is explaining her past to Bheeshma…revealing the secret of Vyasas Birth.

In her story ,sage Parashara is explaining the knowledge of time to sathyavathi.

Born from the womb of Adrika, a celestial being cursed by Brahma to live as a fish and to be liberated from her curse due to the virility of King Upacharya vasu, parashara enlightened her that Mathsyagandi will be giving birth to veda vyasa of this Mahayuga.

Mathsyagandhi who had lived as an ordinary fisherman’s daughter, was filled with wonder listening to the  cycles of time , workings of ages, secrets of incarnation.

Child is dark colored, so he is called krishnadwaipayana..
He knows everything about birth and death even from birth, he says he will appear before her when she wishes to see him, now he has to go to do penance…goes away from island.

Sathyavathy says
Bheeshma , she could bestow children in ambika and ambalika.

Bheeshma allows, Satyavathy thinks and vedavyasa appears!!!!
