*4. The Shanthi Mantra of Sama Veda*
There are sixteen traditional Upanishads attached to the Sama Veda. The Shanthi Mantra for these appears in the Chandogya Upanishad (invocation).
ॐ आप्यायन्तु ममाङ्गानि वाक्प्राणश्चक्षुः
श्रोत्रमथो बलमिन्द्रियाणि च सर्वाणि।
सर्वम् ब्रह्मोपनिषदम् माऽहं ब्रह्म
निराकुर्यां मा मा ब्रह्म
निराकरोद निराकरणमस्त्व निराकरणम् मेऽस्तु।
तदात्मनि निरते य उपनिषत्सु धर्मास्ते
मयि सन्तु ते मयि सन्तु।
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥
Oṃ āpyāyantu mamāṅgāni vākprāṇaścakṣuḥ
śrotramatho balamindriyāṇi ca sarvāṇi
sarvam brahmaupaniṣadam mā’haṃ brahma
nirākuryāṃ mā mā brahma
nirākaroda nirākaraṇamastva nirākaraṇam me’stu
tadātmani nirate ya upaniṣatsu dharmāste
mayi santu te mayi santu
oṃ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ
Om! May my limbs, speech, Prana [life force], eyes,
ears, and the power of all senses be well developed.
The Upanishads reveal the Brahman.
May I never deny the Brahman,
May the Brahman never disown me.
Let there be no rejection by the Formless,
Let there be no rejection from my side.
May the Upanishadic Dharmas shine in me
Who is intent on knowing Me.

*5. The Shanthi Mantra of Atharva Veda*
There are thirty-one traditional Upanishads attached to the Atharva Veda. The Shanthi Mantra for these appears in the Mundaka Upanishad (invocation).
ॐ भद्रं कर्णेभिः श्रुणुयाम देवाः।
भद्रं पश्येमाक्षभिर्यजत्राः
स्थिरैरङ्गैस्तुष्टुवाग्ंसस्तनूभिः।
व्यशेम देवहितम् यदायुः।
स्वस्ति न इन्द्रो वृद्धश्रवाः।
स्वस्ति नः पूषा विश्ववेदाः।
स्वस्ति नस्तार्क्ष्यो अरिष्टनेमिः।
स्वस्ति नो बृहस्पतिर्दधातु॥
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥
oṃ bhadraṃ karṇebhiḥ śruṇuyāma devāḥ
bhadraṃ paśyemākṣabhiryajatrāḥ
sthirairaṅgaistuṣṭuvāgṃsastanūbhiḥ
vyaśema devahitam yadāyuḥ
svasti na indro vṛddhaśravāḥ
svasti naḥ pūṣā viśvavedāḥ
svasti nastārkṣyo ariṣṭanemiḥ
svasti no bṛhaspatirdadhātu
oṃ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ
Om! Gods, May our ears hear the Auspicious.
Those Worthy of Worship,
May our eyes see the Auspicious.
With our limbs steady and bodies praying,
May we attain the assigned Gods [for each mantra]
Within the duration of our lives.
May Indra [the rain god] of ancient fame
Bestow well-being on us.
May the all-knowing Pushan [a solar deity]
Bestow well-being on us.
May Taarksya [a horse-like being in Rig Veda],
Known as Arishta Nemi [a wheel’s protective rim],
Bestow well-being on us.
May Brihaspati [the master of speech]
Bestow well-being on us.

ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय ।
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ।
मृत्योर्मा अमृतं गमय ।

Om Asato Maa Sad-Gamaya |
Tamaso Maa Jyotir-Gamaya |
Mrtyor-Maa Amrtam Gamaya |
Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||
*Meaning:*
1: Om, (O Lord) Keep me not in (the Phenomenal World of) Unreality, but make me go towards the Reality (of Eternal Self),
2: Keep me not in (the Ignorant State of) Darkness, but make me go towards the Light (of Spiritual Knowledge),
3: Keep me not in (the World of) Mortality, but make me go towards the World of Immortality (of Self-Realization),
4: Om, Peace, Peace, Peace.
*7 Om Bhadram Karnebhih*
ॐ भद्रं कर्णेभिः शृणुयाम देवाः ।
भद्रं पश्येमाक्षभिर्यजत्राः ।
स्थिरैरङ्गैस्तुष्टुवाग्ँसस्तनूभिः ।
व्यशेम देवहितं यदायुः ।
Om Bhadram Karnnebhih Shrnnuyaama Devaah |
Bhadram Pashyema-Akssabhir-Yajatraah |
Sthirair-Anggais-Tussttuvaamsas-Tanuubhih |
Vyashema Deva-Hitam Yad-Aayuh |
Meaning:
1: O Devas, May we Hear with our Ears what is Auspicious,
2: O (Devas who are) Worthy of Worship, May we See with our Eyes what is Auspicious,
3: With (Sense) Organs Steady and Body Praying (due to Hearing and Seeing the Auspicious) …
4: … May we Attain (i.e. Spend) the Lifespan allotted by the Devas (thus finding fulfillment in our lives).
*8 Swasthi na indro*
स्वस्ति न इन्द्रो वृद्धश्रवाः ।
स्वस्ति नः पूषा विश्ववेदाः ।
स्वस्ति नस्तार्क्ष्यो अरिष्टनेमिः ।
स्वस्ति नो वृहस्पतिर्दधातु ॥
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥

Svasti Nah Puussaa Vishva-Vedaah |

Meaning:
5: May Indra whose Glory is Great, bestow Well-Being on Us,
6: May Pushan who is All-Knowing, bestow Well-Being on Us,
7: May Tarkshaya who is a Circle of Protection, bestow Well-Being on Us,
8: May Brihaspati (also) bestow Well-Being on Us,
9: Om, Peace, Peace, Peace.
*9. Om Sarveshaam Svastirbhavatu*
ॐ सर्वेषां स्वस्तिर्भवतु ।
सर्वेषां शान्तिर्भवतु ।
सर्वेषां पूर्णंभवतु ।
सर्वेषां मङ्गलंभवतु ।
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥
Om Sarveshaam Svastir-Bhavatu |
Sarveshaam Shaantir-Bhavatu |
Sarveshaam Puurnnam-Bhavatu |
Sarveshaam Manggalam-Bhavatu |

Meaning:
1: May there be Well-Being in All,
2: May there be Peace in All,
3: May there be Fulfilment in All,
4: May there be Auspiciousness in All,
