This topic, is continuity of 1st chapter.
Arjuna discovers in the battlefield
his problems- 1.Raga(attachment-human problem)
2.Shoka(grief because of losing attachment of Bheeshma and Drona) ,
3. Moha(Adarma darma viveka is lost. Capacity to juge the thing).
He tried to solve it himself.
Arjuna says and Krishna hears. He tries to solve the problem himself.
Thus first chapter ends.
Second Chapter

Krishna remains silent. Arjuna discovers helplessness.
I have Carpanya dosham. Says Arjuna.
Real surrender takes place only once. Arjuna Surrenders to Lord Krishna.
Handover the empty mind.
Arjuna Says I am your Shishyaha disciple. Krishnam vande Jagat Guru. Sashtanga namaskara.
Arjuna is a person with several names, wife’s , weapons, he is a great person. He asked for – Shishtasthe ham . So Arjuna is taught by Krishna.
From 11th verse Shasthram takes place.

Two misconceptions

Krishna shows,
1. Individual is not a physical body.
2. I am the mind with which I transact with body.

Example:- your sleep state.
Body and Mind are two glasses of a spectacle. I remove during sleep.
If I am not body and mind. Who am I?
You are consiosness principle.

Jnana
Vigjana
Prajnya
All are the same
Consiosness is not part of this body, Product of this body or Property of body.
It is an independent entity which pervades and enlivens the body.
This consiosness is not limited with in the boundary of the body.
This consiosness continue to survive and exists even after the body colapses.
Like a light you experience in hand is not limited by the boundary of hand but parvades …
This Dehi. This shariri. Athma is your true nature.
6 main features of Athma.

1. Athma nithyaha. Eternal.
2. Athma sathyaha. Reality. Exists independently. While everything exists in body.
3. Athma Sarva gathaha. Consiosness all pervading.
Beyond the hand light is vyaktham outside it is not vyaktham.
Electricity is evident in wire but not visible …
4. Athma is Aprameyaha- Ever experiencer. Never experienced.
Camera cannot take its photo.
Experience proves Athma.
Experience doesn’t see Athma.
4. Athma is Akartha Abhoktha
(no connection with karma) (no connection with karma phalam).
6. Athma Nirvikaraha. Free from exist, birth, rebirth, old-age, change, death.
Athma is Shatvikara rahithaha.
I have to see this body as gift from God.
Knowledge of Athma is Claiming Athma As Myself.
Karma yoga-verses 33 to 46 verse

Aacharyavat topic is Athma. Suttlest. You can learn 25 years about aathma and successfully be ignorant of it.
Leave jnana yoga.
Get jnana yogyatha by practicing karma yoga.
Proper action+proper attitude = Karma yoga.
Proper action-

1 . Satvika karma- the benificiaries are more in Sathvic karma. It is
Ideal karma yoga. Selfless action. Uthama.
2 . Rajasic karma- one benificiary. Selfish action.
3 . Tamasic karma- no benefit. Harming action.
Do Sathvic karma maximum, Less Rajasic karma , Nil Tamasic karma
Proper attitude-

Whatever action I do, I do with love and sincerity.
Love the action, there is sincerity, gratitude,do whole heartedly, as offering to God. Eeswararpanam.
Whatever be the consequences,
Thankless job, do it as Prasada of Lord.
This is Karma yoga. We See this in 3rd Chapter.
Why Karma yoga?
Jnana yoga yogyatha prapthi.
You get sadana yoga Chathushtaya sampathi.
Sthitha prajnyaha 54 to 73 verses

Person who has successfully gone through Jnana yoga and karma yoga is Sthitha prajnya.
It is his emotional strength that-
‘I am not body I am Athma.’
And – it is Intellectual strength also.
How to convert it to emotional strength?
Shravanam gives only prajnya.
Guru will convert agjna to prajnya.
But prajnya to sthitha prajnya Shishya has to do himself.
How to become sthitha prajnya?
How to convert it to emotional strength?
Mental exercise:-
1.Indriya nigrahaha-
sense discipline – anything should not enter mind. Direction.
Not suppression.
2. Mano nigrahaha-
deliberately entertainment- thoughts should not be rubbish. Don’t worry about arrival of thought. Let it come. But should perpectute it or not I should descide. Nip in Bud
3. Nidhidyasanam- dwelling upon thoughts teachings. It will be assimilated.
By this you become sthitha prajnya.
Sthitha prajnya lakshanani.

1. Freedom of winding desires . All binding desires are gone. Non binding desires don’t come.
2. Samathvam or equanimity of mind , raga dwesha etc. Do not come to me. Tranquility.
Example.. Ocean is full irrespective of river and rain.
3. Conclusion- sthitha prajnya is a free bird. He enjoys jeevan mukthi and videha mukthi .
Chapter is over. Chapter is called Sankya yogaha.
