Arjuna Vishadha Yoga
1. Higienic environment and resistance to face external world is what we want to live in a atmosphere.
2. Built up body such that it is resistant. So it can live in external world.
Surgery requires sterilized surrounding.
Build up healthy body.
If a TB person breaths into mouth of 20 people, only 4 or 5 catch the disease because we are given immunity by GOD.
1. Environment-objective factor
2. Resistance-subjective factor
Our immune system deficiency causes AIDS. Only AIDS person catch diseases. God has given resistance.
Mental health also , mind free from psychological deseases. Deficiency causes kama Krodha moha mada malsarya etc. Are psychological deseases.
How is world responsible?
Scripture says,
For mental health also not only external factors are responsible physical weakness is also responsible.
1. Environment and
2. Resistance , immune system of
Body conditions, mind.
Secure life require clean environment, sufficient mental health.
Healthy Body should have:-
1. Frequency of disease is less
2. Intensity of disease is less
3. Duration of disease is less
4. After effect of disease is less
Healthy mind
Same four of mind should be less.
Stress, strain, frustration, tension.
Healthy life Happy Life is to adjust to environment and get resistance to body and mind.
Freedom of self from external diseases is mokshaha.
Development of inner resistance , but not external world, is moksha.
BHAGAVAD GITA is Moksha shasthra.
We have to improve the resistance.
First chapter,
Arjuna discovers that he has inner depression.
To build resistance, he becomes spiritual seeker . Surrenders to Krishna. Krishna gives Gita.
The whole chapter 5
1 to 20, he catches disease, context in which Arjuna gets disease – Mahabharata battle field. Arjuna always did right thing. He didn’t have guilt. Last attempt Krishna was tempted to be killed by Arjuna.
Drona and Duryodhana talk, he says Arjuna sena is stronger due to adharma, actually Duryodhana sena is stronger.
20 to 25
Arjuna wants to see who are there to fight with. Place ratha in front of army so that I can see them, Krishna.
Krishna places the ratha in front of Bheeshma and Drona. Arjuna clearly sees his relatives.
26 onwards to 28 –
Discovers RAGA, physiological leaning.
Arjunas weakness, attachement. Psychological problems with Arjuna sprouts out.
External factors like disobedient son is not a problem, obedience-you depend is the problem.
This is Ragaha…
Arjuna can’t even imagine a hypothetical situation without Bheeshma and Drona.
*Here , Arjuna discovery of raga.
Psychological dependency is not required atall.
Like segeret and etc..
29 to 35
Consequence is sorrow and grief
Arjuna Vishadha Yoga.
Lean on something, it falls, you also fall.
How intensity is grief= intensity of dependency.
Serious problem- gandiyam is falling down..
36 to 47
Mohaha-delution, aviveka,
Says I have to fight or not. Arjuna says yuddha is Adarma and papam. But he is kshatriya, it is his duty to fight. Omnition sin, is prathyavaya papam according to dharma.
Once mind is weakened, intelect will justify weakness. Arjuna justifies his weakness.
Family is important for culture.one generation papam will affect generations. All family members will be effected.
Raga+Shoka+Moha is = Samsari
Whether you have this three problems, you are Samsari.
Muktha is the person who wins this three.
Krishna didn’t start giving reply, because, helplessness is not discoverd.
Quick sand sinks the person.
Another person in ground should help.
Dayna babsha. Carpanya dosham.

Arjuna thinks he is right, leaves Gandiva and sits in chariot, with shoka. Both are silent.
Introduction to 2nd chapter.
It gives comprehensive aviceof entire Gita. It has 4 portions. Arjuna going to other stages also.

He feels some thing in subconscious says he is wrong.
Krishna deside to give Gita.
Arjuna Sharanagathi. Meditation is yogyatha prapthi, Karma yoga. Jnana yoga for disease cure.
Nature of a person without Raga, Shoka and Moha. 4thchapter for
Jeevan mukthi. Nadathi nandathi nandathiyeva.
